Mobile apps for iOS and Android that your customers actually keep

Apps that connect to the store, site and server you already have. I start with a clickable prototype you can test on a phone, then build in Flutter or natively and publish to both stores. Prototype from €1,900, apps from €7,900.

  • If users can create an account, Apple requires in-app account deletion (Guideline 5.1.1(v)). Check the current guidelines.
  • Physical goods and services use normal card payments. Digital content sold in the app falls under Apple and Google in-app purchase rules. Check the current guidelines.
  • Apple does not allow marketing push notifications unless users have opted in to them (Guideline 4.5.4). Check the current guidelines.

Built by the person who runs your store and server

I am a web and store specialist who builds apps that connect to your store, site and server. Larger native builds may be delivered with a vetted partner developer, under one contract and one point of contact. owner to confirm

Your store

Products, stock, prices and orders read from the online store you already run, so nothing is typed twice.

Your payments

Card and wallet payments through your own provider, for example Stripe. Card data stays with the provider.

Your server

The API the app talks to, hosted on a Linux server I set up and look after, with logs you can read.

  • Fixed price per phase. Prototype, build and publishing are quoted separately, in writing.
  • You own the code and the store accounts. Repository, developer accounts and signing keys in your company's name.
  • A written quote within one working day of a short call.

From idea to both stores

  1. 1

    Prototype

About two weeks to a clickable prototype you open on your own phone.

  2. 2

    Test

Five short sessions with real customers. Keep, change or stop.

  3. 3

    Build

Flutter or native, in two-week sprints with test builds through TestFlight and Play internal testing.

  4. 4

    Publish

Store listings, privacy labels, review notes and a staged release on both stores.

  5. 5

    Care

New iOS each September, Android target API each year, fixes in between.

When I would not build you an app

An app nobody opens is the most expensive website you will ever own.

  • 01Customers use you once or twice a year. A fast website that ranks will reach more of them for a fraction of the cost.
  • 02The app would only wrap your website. Apple's minimum functionality guideline (4.2) rejects thin wrappers, and people uninstall them. Check the current guidelines.
  • 03You need a game, heavy 3D or AR, or custom Bluetooth hardware. That needs a specialist studio; I will tell you so and suggest where to look.

Questions about mobile apps

Do I need an app or would a fast website do?

Often a fast website will do. If customers visit occasionally, find you through search and do not need push notifications, offline use or the camera, a website or PWA costs less and updates instantly. An app earns its place when people return every week and you need notifications, offline work or a store listing.

How much does an app cost?

A clickable prototype starts from €1,900 and is credited against the build. A simple app starts from €7,900, a cross-platform MVP from €14,900 and native iOS plus Android from €29,000, all proposed prices excluding VAT. Store fees are separate and paid by you. The builder above gives an example band.

Who owns the code and the store accounts?

You do. The source code lives in a repository in your name, and the Apple Developer and Google Play accounts are opened by your company, with me added as a team member. Signing keys and passwords are handed over in writing, so you can move to another developer at any time.

Scope from the builder: Cross-platform MVP, iOS and Android, 4 features

If the prototype tests badly, you stop there. You keep the prototype, the flows and the test notes, and owe nothing more.

Store fees are paid by you directly: Apple Developer Program $99 a year, Google Play a one-off $25 registration. Check current fees on the stores' own pages.
