Magento for large catalogues, built to stay fast under load
Builds, version upgrades, custom modules, B2B features and performance work, including Varnish, Redis and search tuning on the server. For catalogues and teams that need more than a template. New store from €12,000, fixes and upgrades from €690.
Integration lanes into the store
Large catalogues rarely live in Magento alone. Each lane is a connection I plan, build or review, with a clear owner for every field.
B2B features that sell to companies
Built in Adobe Commerce B2B, or added to Magento Open Source with vetted extensions or custom modules.
Company accounts
Buyers under one company with roles, approvals and spending limits.
Quotes
Request a quote from the cart, negotiate, convert to an order.
Price lists
Customer-specific catalogues and prices synced from your ERP.
Quick order
SKU entry and CSV upload for buyers who know what they want.
Typical Magento work
Each job is quoted after an audit of code, extensions and server.
New builds
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce, Hyvä or Luma-based themes, catalogue structure planned for search.
Version upgrades
On a staging copy, with extension compatibility checked and a rollback plan for release day.
Custom modules
Pricing rules, integrations and admin tools written to Magento coding standards and documented.
Performance
Varnish, Redis, OpenSearch, production mode and query profiling until the slow pages stop being slow.
Security patches
Patches applied on a schedule, admin hardened, unused extensions removed.
Rescue and takeover
Stores left by a previous agency, audited and stabilised before anything new is built.
Not sure if you need a rebuild or an upgrade? Start with an audit.
Get a Magento quoteWhen I would not recommend Magento
- Fewer than a few thousand products and no B2B needs: Shopify or WooCommerce will cost far less to run.
- No budget for proper hosting and regular maintenance. Magento rewards care and punishes neglect.
- You need a full in-house platform team on day one. I can be part of it, but I will not pretend to be all of it.
Questions about Magento
Magento Open Source or Adobe Commerce?
Open Source is free to license and covers most stores, including large catalogues, if it is hosted and maintained well. Adobe Commerce adds licensed B2B features, managed cloud hosting and vendor support, and suits companies that want a vendor contract. I help you weigh the licence against the features you would really use.
Can you upgrade my old Magento 2 store?
Usually, yes. I audit extensions, custom code and the theme against the target version, upgrade on a staging copy, fix what breaks, and release with a rollback plan. Very old or heavily customised stores sometimes cost less to migrate than to upgrade; I will tell you which after the audit.
How do you keep Magento fast?
With Varnish full-page caching, Redis for cache and sessions, a tuned search engine, production mode with compiled code, optimised images and a server sized for peak traffic. Then I watch the slowest pages and database queries, because large catalogues usually slow down in a few specific places.
