What a Shopify build includes

From €1,990, scoped in writing. Larger catalogues, custom sections or B2B features are quoted on top.

Theme work that sells

A free or premium theme customised in code: product templates, collection filters, trust details where shoppers hesitate.

Structure for search

Collections, tags and URLs planned so category pages can rank, with product schema and clean titles.

Payments, shipping, taxes

Shopify Payments, Stripe, Finnish payment methods or your provider, shipping zones and tax settings set up and tested with real orders.

A lean app stack

Only apps that pay for themselves. Everything else is replaced by theme code or removed.

Tracking you can trust

GA4 with consent, Meta and TikTok pixels with server events, and a purchase tested end to end.

Ready for ads and feeds

Google Merchant Center and Meta catalogue feeds connected and clean on launch day.

The app-stack budget

Click an app to remove it and watch the monthly bill and the page weight drop. Typical apps, example prices and sizes: your store will differ.

Saved per year€0

Selling in several countries from one store

Shopify Markets can show local currency, language and prices per country from one admin. Taxes, duties and shipping still need setting up per market.

FIEUR, Finnish and Swedish, Posti and Matkahuolto shipping.
UKGBP, UK VAT handled separately from EU VAT.
USUSD, sales tax depends on state; duties shown at checkout if set.
CACAD, GST or HST by province, cross-border shipping.
EUEUR and local languages; VAT One Stop Shop to discuss with your accountant.

Not tax advice. Confirm VAT, sales tax and customs with your accountant.

When I would not recommend Shopify

  • You need deep custom checkout logic or unusual B2B pricing that only higher Shopify plans support, and the plan cost outweighs the benefit. WooCommerce or Magento may fit better.
  • You want to own and host every file yourself. Shopify is a hosted platform; you rent it.
  • Your catalogue is tiny and the monthly plan plus apps costs more than the store earns in year one. A lean store or a simple site may be wiser.

Questions about Shopify

How long does a Shopify build take?

A store with a customised theme, up to a few hundred products and standard payments and shipping usually takes four to six weeks. Larger catalogues, custom sections or a migration take longer. The main variable is how quickly product data, images and texts are ready, so you get a checklist on day one.

Do I need Shopify apps?

Fewer than most stores have. Every app adds a monthly cost and often scripts that slow the storefront. I start from what the theme and Shopify already do, add apps only where they clearly pay for themselves, and replace the rest with a few lines of theme code where that is safer.

Can you sell to the UK, US and EU from one store?

Yes. Shopify Markets lets one store show local currency, language and pricing per country, with separate domains or subfolders if you want them. Taxes, duties and shipping rules still need setting up for each market, and VAT and customs questions should be confirmed with your accountant.
