Break-even ROAS = 1 ÷ margin. Target ROAS = 1 ÷ (margin − profit). Below the yellow mark every sale loses money once the ad is paid for.

What these tools will not tell you

A calculator is only as good as the numbers you give it. These are the limits I would want to know about before acting on a result.

  • Your margin is a guess until it is not

ROAS targets move fast with margin. A margin that leaves out payment fees, returns postage or discounts makes every target look easier than it is. Work it out from a real month of orders first.

  • A pass is not an audit

A contrast ratio and a scope check answer one question each. Keyboard use, screen readers, forms and focus order need a person testing real pages. That is what the accessibility audit is for.

  • Platform numbers are assumptions

The Microsoft Ads model runs on your figures and your guesses about clicks costs. A small, time-boxed test with clean tracking replaces the guess with your own data.

Your numbers stay on your device

Every calculation on this page runs in your browser. The only thing that can send anything is a form, and only when you press its button.

What number or check do you keep working out by hand? If it would help other store owners, it gets built.

For example: shipping cost per order across three carriers.

Questions about the free tools

Do the tools store my data?

No. Every calculator and checker runs in your browser, and nothing you type is sent to me or saved, not even locally. Reload the page and the defaults return. If you accept analytics cookies, the site records that a tool was used, never the numbers or colours you entered. Only a form you submit sends anything.

Are the results accurate?

The maths is exact; the inputs are yours. Contrast uses the WCAG 2.2 formula, and the ROAS figures follow directly from your margin. The EAA check is a first indication, not legal advice, and the Microsoft Ads model depends on your own assumptions. Each tool shows its formula so you can check it.

Can I suggest a tool?

Yes. Use the suggestion box above or email me the calculation you keep doing by hand. If other store owners are likely to need it too, it gets built and added here, free like the rest. If you leave an email address, you get a reply within one working day.

Not sure what your result means?

Send the number and what you were trying to decide. You get a plain-language answer within one working day, and a fixed price only if there is work worth doing.

Your results so far: ROAS: break-even 2.50×, target 3.33× (40 % margin, 10 % profit). Contrast: 10.11:1 for #0A3D8F on #FFFFFF. EAA: likely in scope. Microsoft Ads test: €300 a month, about 12.2 conversions.
